This is going to be a multitasking adventure, as I have a few items I wish to tackle. I learned multi-tasking when I worked and in fact, my employer held a class on this. Now, I have read multitasking is not such a good thing and that it can be non-productive. Opinions vary, you know.
I am going to start with The Blogger Recognition Award. This is my second nomination for this award that was graciously bestowed upon me by yvocaro.
Please check out her blog http://ladiesgamers.com/. She is an avid gaming fan and sets up her blogs beautifully with exciting descriptions and illustrations. She details new games, gaming news and more in a very comprehensive fashion.
So, let’s chat about the award. I’m not here to see how many awards I can collect. I am here to share and learn by blogging, and most importantly, to interact with other bloggers. These awards are a great show of camaraderie and I love to bestow these awards upon others. With that said, I understand some are not into accepting the awards or feel they are too time-consuming to accept. That’s fine, okay?
Here are the rules:
1. Select 15 other blogs you want to give the award to.
2. You cannot nominate yourself or the person who has nominated you
3. Write a post to show off your award
4. Give a brief story of how your blog started
5. Give a piece of advice or two to new bloggers
6. Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog
7. Attach the award to the post (right click and save, then upload)
8. Comment on each blog and let them know you have nominated them
9. Provide a link to the award post you created.
I have some new connections and I am going to list five of them for the award in no particular order. It is their choice as to whether they want to accept the award.
Moving along, I want to discuss Blogging 201 Day 6 and 7. For those of you that have read my blogs and comments, you are aware I have a presence on LinkedIn. I do not automatically post my WordPress blogs to LinkedIn, as sometimes I prefer different content or modified content in order to keep a professional and business-like profile. However, I now have graduated to Google, Twitter, and Tumblr – Ta Da!!!
I can see Day 7 as a great way to interact and be creative, however, challenging. I have accepted 2 weekly challenges relating to quotations, so I don’t want to crowd the stage. By the way, my blogs about quotations went over pretty well on LinkedIn.
I want an idea that is zippy, fun and not extremely challenging or time-consuming. Ha! Good luck in finding that combination. What was I thinking?
Here is my idea. I am calling this “Sell Yourself”
- Once a week, on Thursday
- Select one of your blogs and do a reblog.
- As is or revised
- Be sure to ping it back to me.
- Include the reason why in the reblog
I like the idea because your blog may not have been seen before. There are new people waiting to be your audience every day. You may want to tweak it or update it. Your style and your ideas may have changed. There are numerous reasons for your reblog. The best part is the interaction with your fellow bloggers.
Let me know what you think? Yes, no or indifferent.
Cheers! 🍵 ☕️
