Today, one of my fellow bloggers asked if I had an About Me page. I sifted through by blogs and didn’t find where I had a separate page dedicated to me, myself and I.
If I had one, it has vanished or maybe I never created one. Cobwebs in the attic?
So, does that mean I have lost me? Oh my, where oh where can I be? I’ll look around and see if I can find myself. This may take awhile so bear with me.
I asked our cat, Amanda, and she thought I was out on the back porch, sipping coffee. My husband thought so, as well, and lo and behold, that’s where they found me! Yep, the three of us can be pretty ditsy, know what I mean?
Well, now that I am here or there, or wherever, I can ponder this About Me page.
So, here we go! Try to handle all of the excitement you are about to experience and enjoy the popcorn.
I retired 2 1/2 years ago, which I spent 40+ years in the corporate world. I was in commercial insurance, in one form or another, for my entire career. There were a couple of exceptions when I worked a few side jobs. One of my side jobs was modeling, which I was involved in for approximately 10 years. The other was my short-lived job as a cocktail waitress. No, I did not dump drinks on anyone! However, working 8-5 and then 7-2 made too much of a long day.
Now, that I am retired, we enjoy traveling, which you will find a few of my blogs related to places we have visited. When we are not traveling, I spend quite a bit of time blogging and publishing on LinkedIn; and we both love to play computer games. We also like to hang out in antique stores; spend time with friends at the local pub; and sit on the back porch while sipping coffee. Oh, I should mention I love coffee, which explains the appearance of my site. I relate just about everything to coffee. See, you can’t say that I didn’t warn you about the excitement. Would you like more popcorn?
We recently sold our house in Florida, which now we plan on traveling more frequently to Blue Ridge, Georgia – our favorite place to visit. Blue Ridge is about an hour away and a very pleasant drive. I wouldn’t mind having a cabin there, rather than stay in a hotel. However, the hotel that we frequent is quite cozy and sufficient for the time being.

About me? I am still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. My favorite quote by Maya Angelou says it all.
