Uniquely Yours

“Remember no one can make you feel inferior
without your consent.”
Eleanor Roosevelt

A droplet from the sky

crystal tears from my eyes

you say I am inferior

but clueless as to my interior

A droplet from the sky

becoming frozen as I fly

why can you not see

you know naught of me

A droplet from the sky

unsurpassed beauty meets the eye

truly one of a kind

another you will not find

A droplet from the sky

my existence, a natural high

my intricate exterior

delicate and far superior

 Uniquely yours,

Tuesday Chatter 11

Winter has arrived in Atlanta, Ga. Windy, cold and a chance of wintry mix. Brrrrr.

Record-setting cold temps, where in December we had record setting warm temps. Well, let’s not worry about what we can’t control. I say put another log on the fire and let’s brew a new pot of coffee.

You know cold weather makes me think of food. And I mean good food that warms your body, warms your heart, and warms your soul. What are your favorite foods when the temperatures take a dip? What are your favorite warm beverages? I would love your feed back! 😊😊

I am not a creative cook, however, my hubby can be very creative. He even makes a nice presentation when he serves the meal. He’s a keeper, for sure.

While I am on the subject of cooking, I can think of none other to feature this week than lynzrealcooking.

Mouthwatering recipes upon recipes and amazing lifetime stories that she shares will tug at your heart strings. She is an incredible woman with incredible talent, not only for cooking but writing, as well. Be sure to visit her site http://lynzrealcooking.com/.

I have been working on my site, attempting to clean it up for the new year. Now, that I am little wiser, I found some boo-boos that were in need of my attention.  This takes a while, however, worth every minute of it. Taking inventory of your site is important because you want to compliment your writing as adequately as possible.

This is Tuesday Chatter, a weekly event where you can leave the link to your blog, giving others a chance to appreciate your talents. Here’s the link for the how-tos. Tuesday Chatter

I’m Eugenia and it’s time to put a wrap on this chat. So long from this week’s Tuesday Chatter and have a great week!

Any Reason to Drink Coffee

As I am sipping my coffee, laced with cinnamon and nutmeg, it is Sunday afternoon.  The football game is on and Paul and Amanda are watching the TV intently. Paul is excitedly giving a blow by blow description of the plays to Amanda.

Amanda, using her tail as a pillow, says “I am a cat and I don’t understand what all the hoopla is about.”  “And Paul, my dear human, it is my turn to lie on the heating pad!”

You know, these two are quite the pair – never ending amusement and cuteness. But, enough of their chatter for a while, and I believe they are overdue for a nap. Now that my chores are finished and the noise has died down, it is time for me, myself and me. Time to unleash the words mingling and muddling in the attic.

If I weren’t so fickle

I wouldn’t be in this pickle

I forgot my ABC’s

 A clueless find

The feebleness of a suffering mind

Beautiful and bold

A story to behold

Ugly and sad

Images of evil and bad

not to lose sight of translation

Do Dreams Come True?

“Dreaming, afterall, is a form of planning.”
Gloria Steinem

I love dreams and, for the most part, my dreams are fascinating tidbits of images, emotions, and sensations. Every now and then, a scary dream slips in, which is usually a fictional event, and not a memory from the past.

Since my preference in dreams is to live in a fairy tale world, I refuse to surrender to bad dreams. I usually awaken from a dream that is like a scene out of a gory Halloween movie, so I never know the finale. It is my opinion that undesirable dreams should always be lucid dreams, where the dream is when you KNOW you are dreaming and poses no threat to real life. For example, the yellow and black polka dotted elephant that is dancing in your room. It is frequent that I have recurring dreams, which very few are nightmarish. Most are coddling and have a happy ending.

I believe the quote, by Gloria Steinem, to have a lot of merit to it.  I will dream and plan while sipping my coffee, which I am convinced dreaming and planning are one in the same.  At least, this is true for me.

Sitting by the fireplace and gazing into the mesmerizing flames give me a sense of coziness. My dream will reflect on reasons to stay warm, which I then plan to see what I can accomplish while inside.

During the season when the weather is warmer, I love to enjoy my coffee on the back porch.  While appreciating the beauty of nature, my dream is reflective of what I see and how it affects my mood. I feel energetic and want to get up and go by taking a walk or go shopping. This becomes a plan for how I am going to spend my day.

I believe dreams to be an essential part of life because they are the birth of goals and plans in a raw form.  They are the beginnings of great ideas, which result in favorable endeavors.  We should cherish dreams that are meaningful, as well as heed their warnings.

This post is dedicated to, In Other Words, a Wednesday event sponsored by Patricia at Patricia’s Place. Join in and be inspired by a different quote furnished each week.

Tuesday Chatter 10

Hello, Everyone. 🌷🌷🌷  We are finally having some cold weather, here in Georgia. Now, I remember the reason for taking inventory of my winter wardrobe this past fall. I was becoming concerned because I had purchased a few new items and dying to wear them. I try to upgrade my wardrobe every season, even it is just one or two items.

As I sip my coffee by the fireplace my cat, Amanda, and my hubby, Paul, are snuggled together watching TV.  They vie for the heating pad to see which one will get the largest portion of this coveted piece of real estate. My hubby uses the heating pad for his back and Amanda uses it just because she wants to. It is quite amusing watching them and their shenanigans.

I am on my second cup of coffee as I write this blog. I love coffee as if you couldn’t tell because it gives me a lot zing. I like to lace my coffee with cinnamon and nutmeg or pumpkin spice and nutmeg.  Flavoring coffee with spices makes it even more savory and yummy.

So, welcome to Tuesday Chatter 10! My, how time flies when you are having fun. Can you believe it is already January 12? January is the most boring month. Did you know there are fewer marriages in January than any other month? It’s true – this is a Trivial Pursuit question so it must be true?!

This week’s Tuesday Chatter is featuring Patricia at Patricia’s Place http://patriciasplace.me/.   Patricia has a weekly event, which occurs every Wednesday. The event is In Other Words, where each Wednesday she furnishes a quote as a prompt.  This purpose is to give bloggers, like you and me, the inspiration to write. I love this idea and I participate weekly. Patricia is a very dedicated supporter of my event, Tuesday Chatter. Be sure to check her weekly event at http://patriciasplace.me/in-other-words/

Hey! Don’t forget me and my Tuesday Chatter weekly event, which occurs every Tuesday –Tuesday Chatter. I want a Smattering, of your Chattering. A Tuesday Event, it’s time well Spent. Come and join in the fun!

So long for now.

One Last Time

My thoughts were in your thoughts

at one time

Your thoughts were in my thoughts

at one time

My hungry eyes devoured you

at one time

Your longing eyes lusted for me

at one time

Our hearts beat continuously in harmony

at one time

Our lives were full of love and romance

at one time

I was a such a fool, heartless and cruel

at one time

I shed tears of pain and shame

at one time

My heart craved your forgiveness

at one time

I fell to my knees and prayed

at one time

Your eyes, they smiled

one last time

Your eyes, they were sad

one last time

Our eyes, they met

one last time

There was nothing more I could say

as you turned and walked away

one last time

A fictional poem of lost love and sorrowful regret.
