Tuesday Chatter 9

Happy 2016 and Tuesday Chatter 9!  Yes, this is a brand new year and it’s time to shine!  As I ponder my goals, while sipping coffee laced with cinnamon and nutmeg, I am going to take a step by step approach.  At times, I get a little too gung ho and feel I have to jump right into my projects with both feet. Huge mistake!  I end up feeling overwhelmed and totally lose sight of my goals.

So out with the old and in with the new?  Hey, not so fast!  There is some of the old that merits being remembered.  For example, here is a selection of oldies some of you may appreciate, depending on your age. 😍😎👱

Ah, lingering memories of the nostalgic past. We loved cruising and looking cool.  You know, the window is down, your arm is hanging out, and you’ve got your shades on. You’re looking good, no doubt about it. Oh, by the way, the car is waxed to perfection and has a nice deep throaty sound. Yes, I’m showing my age, however, I have no regrets about living in that era.

Perhaps, back in the day was a bit simpler and we were a bit more naive.  Maybe a lot more naive – who knows.  But today is today – not yesterday or tomorrow.  I say let’s bring the good memories into this bright new year, and try to leave the bad memories behind.  Yes, easier said than done but it’s worth the effort. Don’t you agree?

So enough of my chatter as it is time to move forward with my agenda. My Tuesday Chatter event has an exciting new addition, which I will select one of our fellow bloggers every week to feature.

This week, I am featuring Claremary P. Sweeney and her delightfully charming stories.  http://aroundzuzusbarn.com/

If you like cats, you will love ZuZu and Roxie.  Take my word for it, you will be missing a real treat if  you don’t stop by and meet these two amusing felines and their humans, Clare and Charley.

Be sure and join in my Tuesday Chatter event held every Tuesday – all day!  And yes, you can be a few days late.

I want a smattering of your chattering.  A Tuesday Event, it’s time well spent.

      1. We definitely have a mutual admiration going on here. I think you’re both great, too. It feels very warm and cozy chatting with you.. I’m reaching for my cup of tea, oops! I mean coffee, right now.

  1. Good read! It’s so true that we can easily get overwhelmed if we jump both feet at the same time into all of our projects. And thanks for introducing ZuZu and Roxie! Now I have something to watch while sipping on my regular coffee – which is obviously nowhere near as good as yours! 😉

    1. Yes, I like some change every now and then. I could not figure out why my tagline wasn’t showing so I put the question out there and Michelle W. informed me my theme doesn’t support it. So, I can create a custom header or change themes. In the meantime, I compromised using my existing header until I decide what to do. I don’t really want to change my theme as I feel this one serves my purpose. I like it because of the ability to change colors. Thank you for noticing and I always appreciate your support.

  2. I often feel like jumping into projects with both feet as well. My husband thinks I sometimes take on too much. I guess he can be right sometimes .. but it always sounds good in my head 😉

  3. Hey! I’ve been so intent on writing the mystery that I am not paying attention to some of the good things in life. Like your Tuesday Chatter! So I just checked and find I owe you a big thanks. And as I looked through the comments, so many mutual friends are there. I decided to learn how to do ping backs and I think I finally got it right. I linked Russ Towne today and I’ll make sure I do the same with all of you in the future. Because most of my ideas are coming from our “comment conversations” or blogs that get me thinking about something i’d like to write. Thanks from all of us at ZuZu’s Barn.
    Love, Clare
Roxie wanted me to add – she knows you all tune in each week to hear about her and she wanted me to remind you she’s the reason everything runs so well so that I can get my posts out. (Gotta love her!)

      1. I’ve limited myself to three things lately:
        1.Writing the mystery
        2.Writing a post a week
        3. Answering post comments and reading the most recent posts of anyone who’s left a comment
Wait, that’s actually 4! Yikes! I’m in over my head. I’ll have to give up sleeping!
