One Last Time

My thoughts were in your thoughts

at one time

Your thoughts were in my thoughts

at one time

My hungry eyes devoured you

at one time

Your longing eyes lusted for me

at one time

Our hearts beat continuously in harmony

at one time

Our lives were full of love and romance

at one time

I was such a fool, heartless and cruel

at one time

I shed tears of pain and shame

at one time

My heart craved your forgiveness

at one time

I fell to my knees and prayed

at one time

Your eyes, they smiled

one last time

Your eyes, they were sad

one last time

Our eyes, they met

one last time

There was nothing more I could say

as you turned and walked away

one last time

A fictional poem of lost love and sorrowful regret.

Oooh good. Very well done. Sometimes even forgiveness demands a walk-away.

Thank you. Yes, I agree – forgiveness can be difficult. Perhaps, walking away will help clear the mind.

I read somewhere that sometimes you need to get away from the ones that are hurting you so you can let your mind rest a bit and then think again so you can clear it up… the poem is beautiful, simple * beautiful!

Voices on a paper

I often eavesdrop to random voices roaming in the air. Some leave bruises on my eyelids due to the frequent wiping of tears. They have a saddening picture. Others stimulate endless smiles. Some would like to remain unidentified. All in all, I love to narrate stories of the sad, happy and mysterious voices.
