My hungry eyes devoured you

Our lives were full of love and romance

I was such a fool, heartless and cruel
at one time
I shed tears of pain and shame
at one time
My heart craved your forgiveness

I fell to my knees and prayed
at one time
Your eyes, they smiled
one last time
Your eyes, they were sad
one last time
Our eyes, they met
one last time
There was nothing more I could say
as you turned and walked away

I read somewhere that sometimes you need to get away from the ones that are hurting you so you can let your mind rest a bit and then think again so you can clear it up… the poem is beautiful, simple * beautiful!
