Tuesday Chatter 34

14560-Mint-Colored-Shades

If we were having coffee, I find there is nothing more thought-provoking than useful and useless chatter. This is one of those chats.

This is Tuesday Chatter, a weekly event where you can leave the link to your blog, giving others a chance to appreciate your talents. Here’s the link for the how-tos. Tuesday Chatter

Elton John has over a thousand pairs, Canadian singer Corey Hart only wears his at night, and you can tell the good guys from the bad guys in The Matrix by the shape of theirs. What am I talking about? Sunglasses, of course! There’s nothing quite as stylish as a pair of shades, so get out your aviators or your wayfarers and start celebrating Sunglasses Day!

One other thing to remember is that sunglasses also help protect your eyes from harmful UV light, so channel your inner cool and slip on those shades on Sunglasses Day!

Joke of the Day

What is brown, hairy and wears sunglasses?

A coconut on vacation.

Can you believe we are approaching the end of the month?  Today is June 27 and the 178th day of the year (179th in leap years) in the Gregorian calendar. There are 187 days remaining until the end of the year. June just flew by for me! Does this happen as we get older, that the days seem shorter? I feel I have so much still to accomplish!

Many moons ago, when I was younger, I couldn’t wait until I was a teenager. Ah, those were the days when I had to be cool. Then I couldn’t wait until…  To be continued

And my featured blogger for this week’s Tuesday Chatter is Milos Djukic. Milos is a friend that I connect with on LinkedIn and beBee.com. Milos Djukic is the Assistant Professor at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Serbia, Materials Technology Department & Welding and Welded Structures Module.

A specialist in the field of materials science, corrosion science and engineering; mechanical behavior of materials, environmental damage mechanisms; hydrogen embrittlement and degradation of materials and materials characterization.

 A Poem from A Cat

Let me tell you about this and that

Just for the record I’m a cat

They call me Amanda

Amanda Panda is my name

I’m a cat just the same

I won’t sit on your face

If you get outta my space

Hey, you’re calling me?

Silly human, can’t you see

I’m trying to sleep

Cuz I’m just beat

From laying in the sun

And having some fun

Look, I can’t stand this heat

Is it time to eat?

I promise to purr

If you stroke my fur

So, you better get busy

Or I’ll throw a hissy

Are you sure it was me

That was stuck in the tree?

Did you see that mouse

Scurrying thru the house

Yep, I’m your cat

So cut me some slack

It’s just a matter of time

When I claim you as min

I wear sunglasses outside all the time because they are prescription. I wear tinted glass inside, which will change depending on brightness. My eyes are very light sensitive. I wish it was like autumn here. It is very hot.

My shorts would like an airing too, I still haven’t put away my woollies. It never stops raining for more than a few hours and our garden and drive flood because they can’t absorb any more. I’ll send you some water if you send us some warmth! ☺️

Thank you Donna-Luisa. I felt the content structure needed an upward swing. Yes, Milos is great and his commitment to corrosion science and engineering is amazing. I remember you wrote an article relating to this topic, as well. Thank you for your comment.

It is crazy that the year is half full already! Time keeps moving at a fast pace. Nice to hear from Amanda Panda. I don’t think Teddy or Jack write poetry but they do occasionally have something to say.
