Tuesday Chatter Weekly

I find there is nothing more pleasing than useful and useless chatter while sipping on a  cup of coffee so strong you can stand a spoon up in it. This is one of those chats.

Many Moons Ago

Sally Sue and I were having a morning chat about who would be next to join Barbie, Marilyn, and the Beach Boys, while we’re cruising. I was checking email on my phone and I said to myself “I can’t imagine life without my cell phone or my laptop.” Do you remember telephone booths? I don’t know where you live but they are almost non-existent in the U.S. Think about it, where would Clark Kent change his clothes? What a dilemma! So we piled Clark in with the rest and off we went in our machine, Sally Sue!  Hopefully, we can get Clark to his home in Metropolis where he can don the big “S” and his cape. Wowser, won’t we look cool with Super Man riding shotgun in Sally Sue.

This is Tuesday Chatter, the place for useful and useless chatter. Join me in a cup of thought-provoking java and link to Tuesday Chatter.

Can you believe we’re almost at the end of August? Maybe the heat will go away as well because I am ready for some cooler weather – what about you?

August 29th is More Herbs and Less Salt Day. This day encourages us to eat a healthy, balanced diet.  It doesn’t take much room or effort to grow a variety of fresh herbs.

More Herbs, Less Salt Day encourages you to take a simple step to re-align this balance, through the use of herbs in home-cooked dishes in place of salt. It doesn’t take much room or effort to grow a variety of fresh herbs, and a little rosemary, thyme, mint or other herbs can do just as much to enrich a dish as a heavy dose of salt.

This is Tuesday Chatter, a weekly event where you can leave the link to your blog, giving others a chance to appreciate your talents. Here’s the link for the how-tos. Tuesday Chatter

I want to learn more about bebee. I’m still attempting to navigate Facebook, so it may be awhile before I can tackle another social media site.

I am kind of sorry that August is almost over 🙁 . I want more summer, the fall approaching means lots more work and stuff to work on, and I don’t really feel like it yet.

Yes, the end of August does indicate summer is almost over. I am sure a lot of people feel the same way you do. I love the fall season and IMO, it ends too soon.

Yes, phoneboxes are fast disappearing but some are being reused in situ: we recently saw one in a small village which is used as a library! People borrow books and leave others. Great system.
I want to hang on to summer as long as possible, it’s been such a poor one in the UK, but the leaves are already changing and falling and it’s getting dark so early in the evenings, I think my hopes will soon be dashed. But I do love the colours of autumn.
We have lots of herbs in our garden, most of them originally grown because I liked the flowers as kuch as the flavour. You’re right, they take care of themselves although you have to be ruthless once in a while and start again when some of them grow very woody and are quite rampant.

I am starting to see some signs of fall where we live as well. A few leaves, here and there, are starting to turn. This has been a very hot summer for us and I am kind of glad to see it go.

Thank you for the healthy eating tips. It’s football season, a celebration of junk food excesses.

    • 08/30/2016 at 11:13 am

Yes, we tend to snack on a lot of junk food while rooting for our favorite teams. 🍕 🍺

Thank you. I have a great time with PicMonkey, which I also use it to create banners, etc. for beBee.
