If we were having coffee, I find there is nothing more pleasing than useful and useless chatter. This is one of those chats that deserves a steaming cuppa coffee, laced with cinnamon and pumpkin spice.
Many Moons Ago
Well, this isn’t many moons ago – this is today! Yes, Sept. 19, 2016! The excerpt below is from today’s Roswell Patch, a local news site.
ALPHARETTA, GA — Drivers in Atlanta struggling to find gas or facing steep price hikes amid a shortage across six states in the Southeast are learning a temporary fix is on the way. A major pipeline serving most of the region was shut off last week due to a fuel leak, but the company in charge of the line says it will create a bypass to restore service as the leak is fixed.
Sally Sue and I were chatting over coffee this morning and we recall the 1970s energy crises. We realize this isn’t the same type of crises, however, it is annoying, to say the least. My husband made the rounds yesterday trying to find gas before the beginning of the week push. He was able to fill up at a station nearby, however, at an accelerated price.
Sally Sue is all in a tither because she has plans to cruise and show off, with none other than the one and only Sir Paul McCartney. She doesn’t want to this gas “thing” to interfere. So, we plan to gather up Sir Paul and add him to Sally Sue’s in-crowd – Barbie, Marilyn Monroe, and the Beach Boys. We’re having some fun now!

beBee is fast becoming a way of life and very enjoyable at that. I find myself quite busy with my online social life and keeping up with my own blog. Of course, I have a life outside of social media – yes, believe it or not, I do.
With that said, I had my first Ambassador online call last Friday and was very pleased. It’s so nice to hear the voices of those you communicate with day in and day out. beBee is implementing a lot of new features, which makes our online experience even more rewarding. Once I get comfortable with all of this new “stuff” and put it to use, I may have some more excitement to share.
You know, I never thought of September as an exciting month because the weather is iffy and it is an in-between month – summer is fading and fall is not yet here. But to my surprise, there are some notable things to know about September.
September 19th is Butterscotch Pudding Day. Somehow, this has a cozy feel to it. I assume we can indulge in Butterscotch Pudding, without feeling guilty?
Although nobody knows the exact origins of Butterscotch Pudding Day, records show that this dessert has been around since at least 1848. There are a number of variations available on the standard recipe and butterscotch pudding is extremely easy to make. If you have children, making butterscotch pudding is the perfect way to celebrate Butterscotch Pudding Day. Or why not surprise someone special by making this sweet treat just for them.
I may not be known as top notch
Some things in life, I’ve botched
I never learned to like scotch
I don’t consider that a botch
I never learned to like whiskey
I think of it as way too risky
They say the proof is in the pudding
Who do they think their kidding
Give me a glass of red wine
And I will be just fine
