If we were having coffee, I find there is nothing more thought-provoking than useful and useless chatter. This is one of those chats. The coffee is hot and bold so come on in and relax and let the stories unfold.
The elections in the U.S. are over. I can’t honestly breathe a sigh of relief but I am going to remain positive and hope Americans will unite and move forward. I have read several posts on the elections, not only on WordPress but other social sites, as well. Everyone has the right to voice their views and no better way than the power of the pen. I was impressed by many of those well-written posts that were respectable, civil and well researched. This brings to mind a worthy quote by John F. Kennedy, which I feel sends a very important message to America.
My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country – John F. Kennedy
Moving right along, can you believe it is already the middle of November? Where has this year gone? This has been a monumental year, to say the least. And you know, it ain’t over yet. As we approach the holidays, let’s reflect on family and friends and the true meaning of the season. By the way for those of you that write novels, November is Novel Writing Month! Don’t let November go by without taking your greatest novel idea and turning it into a reality! Let your talents be known.
You know, while we were traveling, I fell way behind and had to catch up on my blogging, beBee, LinkedIn and a whole bunch of other things. My poor hand, that I fell on, is on the mend, but it still slows me down. With that said, I am determined to move along as I get better each day. In fact, I added another challenge to my event list.
I am joining in The Writer’s Quote Challenge, a weekly event. Each Thursday, the hostess(es) will post a weekly prompt. Either make up your own sayings or use a quote from a famous author that you find gives you inspiration. Last week’s event can be found at https://haddonmusings.com/2016/11/10/all-new-writers-quote-challenge/. I enjoy these events because it is a way to engage with others and have fun.
This brings to mind what better blogger to feature than Bernadette and Haddon Musings. I can’t say enough about this blog – it reminds me of a variety show because she offers something for everyone to enjoy. Stop in and say hi to Bernadette. haddonmusings
I live in the small town of Haddonfield, NJ. I am at an age in my life when I seem to spend time thinking and musing about life. These musings are usually stimulated by my walks through Haddonfield, my reading of books and fellow bloggers, and my interaction with my group of fabulous family and friends.
Oh Mr. supermoon
Please light up my room
I promise as I sleep
there’ll be ne’er a peep
Even deep in slumber
there’ll be no sawn lumber
Just knowing you’re near
gives me no reason to fear
Oh, my man in the moon
you make me swoon
You’re presence in the sky
gives me a natural high
I may seem a little crazy
yeah, my mind a bit hazy
But I feel the time is nigh
to know the reason why
That cow jumped so high
Hip hip hooray, today is Pickle Day!
It’s Pickle Day, everyone! Did you forget? Oh, then you must think you’re in a right pickle, but don’t worry. Be as cool as a cucumber, because there’s still time to munch on some pickles, yet.
No matter whether you like Gherkin, Dill, Lime, Bread-and-Butter, Branston, Cornishon, Hungarian, Polish, Danish or Swedish pickles, made in either in brine or vinegar, you can be sure these fermented morsels are so much more than mere hors d’oeuvres.
beBee and me are going strong. beBee sent T-shirts to all of the Ambassadors. They’re such a class act organization and I feel very lucky to be a part of it. Hey, don’t forget to join in on Tuesday Chatter, a weekly event. Stop by and leave a link to your blog or a favorite post for others to enjoy at Tuesday Chatter.
OMW, what to do! I almost left out Sally Sue! You may not care but she does. In fact, we’re going to get out and around today, depending on the smoke in our area. We’ve had some pretty rough days because of the smoke from the wildfires in North Georgia. Our fav city, Blue Ridge is sitting in a cloud of smoke as I write. It’s a bit scary and I feel sorry for the folks that live in the threatened areas. Let’s pray for rain – perhaps a rain dance will help?
I’m Eugenia and it’s time to put a wrap on this chat. So long from this week’s Tuesday Chatter and have a great week!
