Amidst all of the hullabaloo

Our dreams may be extinguished

But, as individuals we are distinguished

By how we pen our own chapter

Our bare souls not to be captured

By a spell, thus false feeling rapture

Mapping our journey to our destinations

May save us from shocking revelations

“Our bare souls not to be captured” inspires a lot more, beyond the scope of this challenge. Beautiful choice of words. And ‘shocking revelations’ points to the obvious in contemporary history. You have captured so much in a few lines. My compliments!

Wonderfully penned, I like the choice of your words, and yes map it well and plan, it’s better knowing your route to your destination than facing disappointments.

This captured the state the world is in. It seems we are all waiting to be saved. We need to take personal responsibility for life and our contribution to it. Wonderful and reflective, Eugenia 🙂 x

How true it is. We so often forget to take responsibility for our destinations. Nice read.

Great poem! I also love the flower in the picture. Did you make that?

Thank you and no, I did not make the flower. I wish I had the talent to create the flower. 🙂 I use a lot of images via, which is a public domain and the images are free.

LOVELY! And thanks for the link to free graphics in one of your responses. I, too, am always looking for graphics that don’t violate copyrights.
