Hugs

It’s not befuddling

Our love for cuddling

With purpose to share

And show that we care

A witless smile so smug

Envying desires to be snug

 Healing sorrows with a hug

  1. A refugee’s hug

    Hug me please
    I’m on my knees
    Lost my home,
My parents, and I am alone
The war it raged, with bombs everywhere .
Was left standing, no one seems to care.
Hugs should be for free, so I’m asking you
    Can you open your arms
It’s all I can give to you.

    1. I didn’t come from a family of huggers either, however, later on in my life I married into a family of huggers and I feel the same way you do.

  2. beautiful post this is so powerful!! i love hugs and one of my biggest pet peeves is when people give me “fake hugs”! ya know the kind where they stand what seems an endless span away from you and just reach around you and gently tap you on the shoulder? i want to be like “oh no! come here! yer getting a ‘real’ hug!” “real” hugs to you!
