Self

gossips stare a witless soul is bared

never shared or even cared

such a pity being so vain

flawed behavior hard to bear

an alter ego exclaims – beware!

This week the event is to write a story or poem of 5 Lines or Less using the word vain. Please drop by and join the fun at Patricia’s Place

  3. This is just too beautiful, and horrendously close to reality, at the same time….

  4. This so prompted thoughts of Carly Simons line “You’re so vain, you probably thin this song is about you …” ^^ Excellent!

  5. Yes I’m vain.
I look into my mirror and see me.
The way I think I am.
You look at me from the outside,
I pray to God you see my beauty shining from within.

  8. A colorless soul…vain. As they say, (whoever they are) you hit the nail on the head. Thanks for linking to In Other Words.
