Shamrock

76165-After-The-Rain

A wee green frog perched atop a rock

He needs a kiss from a Miss to live in bliss

No time to wince for a wanna be prince

A trove of treasure yet to unlock

Revealing dreams and a lucky shamrock

  2. Beneath the shamrock he did lie,
Hoping that his princess would soon pass by.
She came each day, looking for him.
He did by the shadows, for her not to see him.
She was seeking her love, hidden by the queen.
Her prince was cast out…Never to be seen.

      1. I’m sorry it was more than five lines.
I also meant to type.. “He hid by the shadows…” 🙂

***This got me thinking about the lucky shamrock being a shield, because he did not want to be rejected or hurt. He did not understand she loved him… sigh!
        Glad you enjoyed. Thank you.
