A wee green frog perched atop a rock
He needs a kiss from a Miss to live in bliss
No time to wince for a wannabe prince
A trove of treasure yet to unlock
Revealing dreams and a lucky shamrock
This week the event is to Write a story or poem of 5 Lines or Less using the word shamrock. Please drop by and join the fun at Patricia’s Place

Beneath the shamrock he did lie,
Hoping that his princess would soon pass by.
She came each day, looking for him.
He did by the shadows, for her not to see him.
She was seeking her love, hidden by the queen.
Her prince was cast out…Never to be seen.

I’m sorry it was more than five lines.
I also meant to type.. “He hid by the shadows…” π
***This got me thinking about the lucky shamrock being a shield, because he did not want to be rejected or hurt. He did not understand she loved him… sigh!
Glad you enjoyed. Thank you.

I sometimes remiss
not intentionally
my apologies
you too a master
your poetry enhances
life in many ways
a dedication
to you Eugenia
on this sunny day
a leprechaun
once a frog himself was kissed
now immortal
the tale a myth
all life coms to an ending
tales life’s legacies
as you now have read
I don’t forget a thank you
often bleated
hope you like senryu
in appreciation
of a master you
now a haiku
my goodbye for today
again my thank you’s
A Haiku Finale
spring day glorious
house sparrows twittering
grape hyacinths divine
&
a
poem to boot
Watch out for a pingback,
I hope, a Leprechauns surprise.
Once a frog, now rid of that disguise
Thankful for a friendly fairies kiss
No lies ,now lives a life of purer bliss.
Watch out for a pingback!
