Long Distance Call

loon

A luring voice in a different tune

The quintessential sound of a lonely loon

His haunting call fractures the night

Neath sable skies she waltzes from sight

She dances the tango in the city of Pune

I love that phrase ‘A luring voice’; goes neatly with and suggests also ‘Alluring voice’. A neat mataphor
