There is a home in the U.P. that we considered purchasing. It had stairs like this, and I loved them. I plan on doing this type of thing when we move up there. Almost all of the homes there are old, historic ones, with staircases.

I love old historic homes and I like this idea for staircases, too. Thank you for commenting.

Me too, Eugenia. I’ve always said that if somebody gave me a new house I’d sell it to buy an old one. A long-time fan of what has been referred to as “shelter porn” (magazines with pictures of creative decorating and updating ideas for the home), I’ve always wanted to do something like this on a staircase.

I loved the way this graphic paired with your poem – and I love the underlying message. I always admire the way you always come up with something creative for these challenges. My brain shuts down as soon as I read them – and I’m not even trying to do it as a poem. Kudos!

Thanks for posting on the Senior Salon, too – it made it really quick easy for me to jump over to read it (still playing catch-up). 🙂

Great use of the prompt. The steps at Lincoln Center is NYC light up with coming attractions just like your photo.
