To Cherish

To cherish one in their childhood is to give

Must we empathize with our foes to forgive?

Slapdash ideation hoarded in a sieve

Spilled ink replenishing our will to live

To cherish one in their dotage is to give

This week the event is to Write a story or poem of 5 Lines or Less using the word give. Please drop by and join the fun at Patricia’s Place

What do I give when I have no more?
When giving weakens our heart and our soul, it destroys.
I have nothing more to give from deep within
My soul is saddened, thus no more giving.

If you GIVE me a hug, I will hold on tight
Need a lot of hugs to get through tonight.
I treasure what you Give, because I know you care
        Give and keep on Giving,
You are a wonderful kind ‘Dear’

The past few weeks has taken me to the point of ‘no more’. Somehow though when I am totally at the brink of lowest there is still more to give from within. Thanks, appreciate your support … #regenerating

Nice words Eugenia. Forgiveness is a great word but a difficult thing to give sometimes.

Cherishing another at any time of their life, from childhood to dotage, is to give.

Cherish, forgive, replenishing, all giving words. Much to ponder in your lines. Thanks for sharing with In Other Words.

To give is the best gift that we can give
for when we give we purchase ourselves some reprieve.

Okay, I love your poem and had to chip in a bit 😉
