Eroding Times

Too much to bear to see wear and tear

Gossips stare at mama earth

 Pollutants challenge her self-worth

Let’s rewrite that same old song

If I agree with you we’ll both be wrong

This week the event is to Write a story or poem of 5 Lines or Less using the word bear. Please drop by and join the fun at Patricia’s Place

I could not bear to see today,
    Yet it came anyway.
I celebrated, and it made me think
My birthday was better than anything 😀💟👏

Birthdays, a once a year celebration, not necessarily a revelation but perhaps, a divine salvation. 😃

I agree, we need to find the words to a new song Eugenia. Nice poetry.

Times are certainly eroding. You say a lot in few words. Great poem.

    Hey Eugenia,

A wonderful little ditty with cosmic vision: a timely reminder for us all, I think, to consider our Earth when we consider ourselves. Thank you for sharing the pleasure of your precious words.

If I may Eugenia, I will leave a quote by Michael Collins (Astronaut Apollo 11)…

“I really believe that if the political leaders of the world could see their planet from a distance of, let’s say 100,000 miles, their outlook would be fundamentally changed. The all-important border would be invisible, that noisy argument suddenly silenced. The tiny globe would continue to turn, serenely ignoring its subdivisions, presenting a unified façade that would cry out for unified understanding, for homogeneous treatment. The earth must become as it appears: blue and white, not capitalist or communist; blue and white, not rich or poor; blue and white, not envious or envied.”

Wishing you brightest blessings. Have a wonderful weekend!

Take care of you in all ways always 🙂
