Hey, the Tuesday Chatter Cafe is humming with chatter! Join me at the cafe where the world is muted at eleventy o’clock. Enjoy your cuppa as we chat about backward apostrophes, upside down commas, and dwell on ideas that are pure twaddle.

The faceless clock at two, four, six
Let’s zero in on pickup stix
Are they in between or in betwixt
Best to run the shortest dance
Or you’ll be taking a risky chance
Best to avoid that same old song
Ticking all boxes may be wrong
Oh splish splash my eyelash crashed
A fake ATM ran out of cash
Hey, it’s not what you reap but how you sow
I got my $200 and didn’t pass go
We remain young if our song’s unsung
Have we lost our wits through thicknthin
Say the hoi polloi there are no echoes let in

Just for the hell of it I ticked off ‘Norwegian’!
And at least I got me a good laugh 🙂
I admit that this may be better than nothing provided you really
face a language issue, but . . . 🙂

Do you mean you translated to Norwegian? I can only imagine how confusing my posts must be when translated to another language, due to my fondness for using a “play on words” in most of my posts.

As I said – I got a good laugh! I know only too well how inaccurate Google translator may be, but I was a bit curious if you had found another source? Norwegian is a tricky language with a lot of dialects 🙂

Only twenty years ago there were less than 10 million internet hosts! That is an amazing change from today. I assume every device we use is now a host unless I’ve got that wrong.

Here is my interpretation of internet hosts- A computer that is connected to a TCP/IP network, including the Internet. Each host has a unique IP address, which the IP address is an identifier for the computer or device.

Yes, it’s crazy, isn’t it? Some changes are good, some bad, and some things never change.

I have a brother, Bob Doyle. I had no idea he ran for President!

Yes, there is more detail about Bob Doyle in Wikipedia. It’s a rather lengthy read but furnishes information on his role in politics.

The ATM pic also brought back memories of the first ATM installed by HSBC, and people showing it as a novelty to their children. Those kids have grown up and gone cashless with digital banking now.
