A Colorful Journey

My life a rainbow of flavors

Cherish birds that sing and ideas with wings

By and large, I seek the brass ring

Believe no grey area will be Greek to me

Best to be sly as a fox and let bad apples be

Yep, battling egos are character assassination

The domino effect a surprising revelation

Fix a broken heart with a heart of gold

It’s the thought that counts or so I’m told

Take the fork in the road and find love is fine wine

The power of love better than gold in the mine

I believe life’s journey needs a moral compass

Avoid the mudslinging that exchanges among us

Penning life in metaphors may be a tricky task

But I’m no late bloomer and this too shall pass

Something I learned a long time ago

You sow what you reap and reap what you sow

  2. I enjoyed your poem immensely, and I think my pen drowned itself trying to write the thoughts that count, about all your wonderful metaphors.
