Go Beyond

Weigh in on strengths and aspirations

Raise voices of contentment

 and expunge

indignation, irritation, and resentment

Spill ink of contentment

and celebrate

thanks, gratefulness, and appreciation

 Connect ideas of contentment

and share

beyond life’s everyday expectations

Let’s propose a toast to a positive mindset

with no expiration

The Thanksgiving Season compels us to think of the blessings in our life. The whole idea is to focus on the positive.

The SOAR (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations and Results) analysis is the other side of SWOT, where we eliminate the negatives altogether, and focus on what can be done. Let us expand Thanksgiving beyond gratitude, and do this to put our life in the right perspective – Reena Saxena

    • Thank you so much, Roland. I don’t feel your works are negative. I feel you are being authentic with your feelings. A lot of my poems are a rant, however, I like to finish them on a positive note.:)

  8. Absolutely spot on, and beautiful with it, however, I, once an active protester, cannot accept that people don’t care about what is going on and what is happening to the planet we call home. All I am going to say is we all want the good life, but if we don’t heed the warnings and start showing that we care for our planet, there won’t be any good times for our children’s children. Sorry, I want to say more, but my thoughts just upset me. Take care, keep writing your beautiful poetry,
