Aspiration

There’s no saying goodbye

to a loved one

and their days in the sun

Let life force breathe fresh air

Each moment is one to prepare

To map a path and live in the now

    Hey Eugenia, Namaste 🙂

This a rather clever poem, and complex, able to be viewed on several levels. I like the endearing sense of never-ending romance even when parted from the one we love: that person stays with us always ❤

I was unaware that the word aspiration had a medical meaning as well. I thought 'ingress' and 'egress' were interchangeable terms for breathing: eg. inhale and exhale. I love to learn, thank you 🙂

Nearly two weeks into the New Year already. I trust yours has lived up to your expectations and surpassed all of them. Enjoy the weekend. Take good care of you.

    Namaste 🙂

Hi Dewin. I researched the word aspiration and wasn’t sure I was going to use it but found it may add interest to my poem. My new year is going well thus far. Take care and enjoy the bright new year! Cheers!

        Hey Eugenia, Namaste 🙂

You succeeded, your poem held my interest and inspired passing sentimentality 🙂

Pleased to hear the New Year is proving a success. Take are.

Great! Map a path for the future, but live in the present …

Clever words and poetry Eugenia and it opens up a lot of thoughts. Life is so quick these days that we forget about the present moment spending too much time in the past or looking into the future. A lot to ponder.

Thank you, Davy. The older I get, the more I live in the now.

I think as we age Eugenia, we realise it is the only place to be.
