Tuesday Chatter Weekly

Come on in and have a cuppa joe.  You’ll find the Tuesday Chatter Cafe, a cozy place to meet for coffee and a weekly chat. Have a seat and enjoy the buzz, and be kind to one another because what happens here doesn’t stay here and the gossips like to stare.

“You can often change your circumstances by changing your attitude”-Eleanor Roosevelt

If we were having coffee on this day, Tuesday, January 16th of the year in-

1952-The world’s largest gas pipeline opens – from Brownsville Texas to 134th St, New York City.

1963-Khrushchev claims to have a 100 megaton nuclear bomb

1974-“Jaws” by Peter Benchley is published by Doubleday

1981-John Lennon releases “Woman” in the UK

2001-Former President Theodore Roosevelt is awarded a posthumous Medal of Honor for his service in the Spanish-American War by US President, Bill Clinton.

2016– A zinnia, aboard the International Space Station using NASA Veggie system, is the first flower grown in space.

Do you remember the “Anything Goes Fashion” and Individual Expression decade? Flares or bell-bottoms, tunics, pants sets and leisure suits were the trends along with exotic prints, polyester, satin, corduroy, and velvet fabrics. Well, if you think it was the 1970s, you’re correct.

Tuesdays are also meet and greet at the cafe. Please say hello to your fellow bloggers-

Respecting another’s predilection without comprehension

Can muddy one’s interpretation

Leading to misbeliefs and false impressions

Wearing a bowtie to dinner doesn’t mean you’re a winner

Don’t let you exalted scrawl decorate a wall

Too much in life can be a close call

Life can be like a snapshot you can always take another

Let’s hope not because we must authenticate what we intend

Its interesting to know what this day brought in the past! I remember jaws and the fear of swimming for months after seeing the movie!

Haha! Yes, fashion is tricky, isn’t it? I like some of the styles of yesteryear and love it when they make a comeback. Then, I wish I hadn’t given some my old clothes away.

I know Eugenia. If I had kept my old wardrobe I could have made a fortune 🙂
