Thank you for visiting the Tuesday Chatter Café and welcome! Have a seat and enjoy the buzz. You’ll find the café a friendly place to meet for coffee and a weekly chat. Be kind to one another because what happens here doesn’t stay here. By the way, beware of the scandalmongers!

“Rest, rest, perturbed spirit!”-William Shakespeare

Word of the week-perturbed (adjective)-troubled, anxious, upset. Synonyms-aghast, abashed, alarmed, daunted, blanched, distressed, rattled, spooked, startled.

Words that rhyme or nearly rhyme-curbed, disturbed, absurd, superb.

Mother Nature clearly perturbed

Her tetchy attitude quite absurd

 Spring’s harmonies are not taught

Songbird ditties not for naught

We yearn to see buttercup smiles

Lavender scents, their grace beguiles

Flowering trees blush in rosy pink

Opening buds give us a wink

The sense of renewal, a lovely vision

Brings creative energy to fruition

Spring is a season of new beginnings

Mother nature’s grand awakening

Let’s put aside all frustrations

And welcome spring with a standing ovation

Love the poem! I remember 1980 we were on a trip for jazz choir and then we were stuck on the way home for a week!
