“Sarcasm is the last refuge of the imaginatively bankrupt.”-Cassandra Clare

Word of the weekasperitynoun-harshness, sharpness, abrasiveness, severity, tartness, sarcasm

CC80

Ain’t no sunshine behind a wall of asperity

Don’t like the popularity of vulgarity

Nor, the paper doll effect of insincerity

Flimsy stenciled characters with no personality

Let’s question their value of ambidexterity

Surely, selfies will reflect any disparity

Hence, the importance of purposeful celerity

 The world’s adrift seeking prosperity

But to much dismay finding only hilarity

1937! Did not realise that Daffy Duck was so (not old) mature. 😉

I had “McCartney” on vinyl and now as MP3’s. There was an interview with him that was included with the record where he said he was through recording with The Beatles. That’s when I found out they had broken up. It’s a good album: he plays all the instruments, Linda sings with him on a couple, and he does a couple of instrumentals.

Chipper Jones loved hitting at Shea Stadium so much he named one of his sons Shea.

Wow, you are just a wealth of information. I saw McCartney and Linda at a concert in Miami, eons ago. That’s when he had his group Paul McCartney and Wings also known as Wings.

Cool stuff about Chipper that I didn’t know.

    Eugenia,

Your poetry skills continue to marvel my brain. Man, oh, man do I wish I could spin lines like you!! WOW, Daffy Duck and Elmer Fudd are a year older than my daddy. Petunia Pig I didn’t remember until I checked with Google. She was created two years after Porky Pig. Have a great day and when time permits you’re invited to check out my daily A2Z iPad Art Sketch of a big-eyed owl. 😉

Yes Eugenia, The Senior Salon is doing well as it’s still in it’s infant shoes here on my blog. Just received 2 shout outs this morning, and this is fantastic. Hope this will alert more Silver members to come and join and meet new bloggers.
If we can get one shout out as this per week it will be fantastic.
