Tuesday Chatter Weekly

81663-April

It’s that time again and I’m so glad you stopped by the Tuesday Chatter Café! Take some time to relax and enjoy the prattle. You’ll find the café a friendly place to meet for coffee and chitchat. Be kind to one another because what happens here doesn’t stay here.

“It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt”-Mark Twain

Word of the weekmutter (verb)-say something in a low or barely audible voice, especially in dissatisfaction or irritation.

Synonyms-murmur, mumble, whisper

Let’s be mindful of words we mutter

Coz empty talk is a maze of clutter

It pays to listen before we utter

Let’s keep our minds out of the gutter

Or we may regret our untidy sputter

Read the memo about the paper cutter

Gadzooks no respect makes me shudder

It’s gonna take our efforts to recover

Appreciate life and don’t be late for supper

Oh, please pass the bread and butter

The month of April is just full of blooming flowers and fantastic opportunities to immerse ourselves in and enjoy the beauty of spring.

As temperatures start to rise, we can enjoy a plethora of outside events from Easter egg hunts to Major League Baseball games.

April shows off with parades, festivals, and food fairs, for example, The National Cherry Blossom Festival, which runs from March 17th to April 15th. And there is Earth Day, April 22nd, that brings on a slew of activities such as benefits, concerts, clean-up projects and museum exhibits all associated with improving our environment.

Let’s not forget Arbor Day, which takes place on April 27th. This is a special day set aside to plant a tree in your community.  Our trees are amazing as they provide beauty, shade, oxygen, clean air, water, fruits, nuts, wood, and much more.

April is also known as Garden Month, Straw Hat Month, Decorating Month, Jazz Appreciation Month, Couple Appreciation Month, and our beloved National Poetry Month.

Even though April is more than half over, there is still time to enjoy this engaging month as we slip into May.

    Eugenia,

Great poem. We certainly need to listen before we utter. Unfortunately, I open my mouth prematurely most times. An area that I’m trying to improve upon but fail frequently. lol The earth is in full spring bloom here and I’m loving it! Thanks for visiting, my friend.

Great to be catching up and reading the chatter in the Tuesday Cafe Eugenia. April has come and gone too quickly but at least it is another step to the Summer.

Can you believe April is almost gone, Davy?! I’m looking forward to summer too as I sit looking out my window at another rainy and chilly day. Thank you for stopping in at the cafe.
