Young minds so fragile
future masterpieces
waiting to be cultivated
like unwritten poems.
Adolescent years a period of
intense growth physically,
and mentally.
Oft times emotionally
gripped with peer pressure
and laden with a plethora
of immense expectations.
Too much too soon can
fester mind-numbing, and
present lifetime challenges.
A few words of wisdom

yard by yard, it’s hard;
but inch by inch, life’s a cinch.”

‘unwritted poems’ and unpainted art… they wait for the right words and colors to do justice to their budding talent. Thanks for joining in!

This is Wonderful. AND…So true. Youth is in itself like a heavy metal concert. Filled with notes that defy logic but beat with a rhythm so beautiful, that the melody lingers for a lifetime.
You totally captured what it felt like to be young. Thank you for that memory. For me, it was eons ago.(and yesterday in a way). But music and playing guitar back in the 60’s while writing poetic lyrics made the angst of youth empowering. Thanks so much for sharing this. I loved it. ❤️✌️

It was eons ago for me, as well. Music, especially the 60’s bring back great memories. I still love and listen to rock and roll – 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. I’m glad you enjoyed my post.

Eugenia,
The first poem is nice but I enjoyed the short one just below it, especially the line which says…”Mile by Mile, it’s a trial”. That’s how I feel lots of time! Have a good week, my friend.

Cathy, the quote at the end of my poem is so true to my life, as well. But, you know we have to keep plugging along. 🙂
