What About You? Affirmation Challenge Day 45

I am who I am for a beautiful reason. I am not a mistake. My experiences: the good, the bad and the downright ugly all culminate to shape me into this unique and awesome human made in God’s image.

Every single one of us has had varied experiences that have a significant effect on who we are. The most important aspect of any experience is not so much in the experience itself but in the meaning that we assign to these experiences. What stories do we inadvertently tell ourselves based off these experiences? These underlined internal stories shape us, shape our future decisions and how we interact with others.

Some allow their ugly experiences to rule over how they perceive themselves for the rest of their lives. A lot of times this internal perception reads ‘I am not good enough,’ I’m not beautiful enough, I’m less than.’  This is…

    Very well said. We can look at the positive and live a positive life or we can dwell on the negative and have a negative life. I made the choice for a positive life many moons ago.
