BrewNSpew Cafe – August 13, 2018

There’s something magical about the idea that you can write something down and someone else will read it. I’m still mildly agog about that” – Kerry Greenwood

Word of the week – agog (adjective) – eager, excited, impatient, anxious, avid, keen synonyms – agape, anticipant, expectant, breathless, on tenterhooks.

You know this and that

becomes so old hat

not even a worthy chat.

Of course, who can define

whether the gabfest is prime,

or just cheap give-and-take.

Yeh, you say “this is blather”

but what’s it to you? Rather!

 Spoken words set listeners agog

you know, a sincere téte-á-téte.

Not to be the playground bully

is an option, yeah a choice.

Methinks, it’s best to be mindful

when we use our voice.
