BrewNSpew Cafe – April 15, 2019

it’s a bluebell day

a springtime celebration

let’s not change a thing

Some love to roam o’er the dark sea’s foam, Where the shrill winds whistle free. – Charles Mackay

no time to write an epistle

while irked by life’s gristle

we tend to scowl and bristle

maybe send a guided missile

into melancholy thistle

if judgment of dismissal,

can we still blow the whistle

or even pack a pistol

best left to ponder or this’ll

will make one a fizzle

You’re at the BrewNSpew Cafe, where writers meet

And there’s more to come, friends! Here is what’s happening at the BrewNSpew Cafe!

On Mondays, I publish a post titled BrewNSpew Cafe. One of the highlights is I select a “word/expression of the week”. I create my composition with my interpretation.

You’re welcome to join our talented community and challenge yourselves by composing your own creation using the week by week featured word. Please and thank you for limiting your post to 300 words or fewer.

Link your blog to mine with a Pingback. To do a Pingback: Copy the URL (the HTTPS:// address of my post) for the current week’s Challenge and paste it into your post. You may also place a copy of the URL of your post in the comments of the current week’s Challenge post.

The prompt will close 5 days from the date of my post. I will post a week after week wrap-up of posts shared by our kindred bloggers.

How about we be creative and have fun!

Oh, I am sure you can write about a whistle. 🙂

I don’t whistle very well and always wanted to let out one of those rowdy whistles but to no avail.

Remember Whistles, the snack? Kind of like Cheetos but more of a tube.

Yes. Were they corn flavored and shaped like a cornucopia?
