Word of the week – flippant (adjective) –

not showing a serious or respectful attitude.

Synonyms – frivolous, superficial, glib, carefree,

thoughtless, offhand, cheeky, pert, facetious.

Word Limit: Under 300 words


“Offhand, I would describe her as extremely

officious.”

“What you really mean is meddlesome.”

“No not really. More like opinionated.”

“You could say that again.”

“Opinionated.”

“Don’t be so cheeky.”

“I wasn’t being, cheeky.”

“Repeating something for the sake of

attempted joviality is being cheeky.”

“If you say so.”

“Now wait a minute! I was just being polite.”
