August still yonder
dog days of summer torrid
Ne’er trust a July sky.
If ant hills are high in July, the coming winter will be hard.
Whatever July and August do not boil,
September can not fry.
Presenting this week’s prompt/challenge. You may use the word and/or the image for your creation.
Word of the week – tempest (noun) – a violent wind storm. Synonyms – squall, storm, gale, hurricane, tornado, typhoon, cloudburst, monsoon, snowstorm, blizzard, windstorm.
prompt – July 15, 2019
tempest brews yonder
life’s off-kilter musing
urges one to ponder
existence more confusing
seasons have stations
nature’s way to pause
and change destination
defines reason and cause
marmalade sunny lit days
halcyon times still and warm
basking in summer’s haze
oblivious to the looming storm
