summer blues are hues
deepened by a sapphire sky
changes on the way
Tears of joy are like the summer rain drops pierced by sunbeams.

Weekly Prompt – Let’s add a little twist to the challenge based on the quote by Hosea Ballou. You may use the quote or any part of it and/or the image for this week’s prompt. Stay cool and out of the heat and most of all have fun!

sunbeams bring honeyed dreams
clouded by much-gone wrong
raindrops, blue, flow in streams
glum whispers of woeful songs
sorrows grasp and now the norm
provoke anguish to a fragile heart
fears and worries a ferocious storm
flail mortals and creatures like plastic art
but raindrops, blue, sweet lullabies
lucid shadows and sunny delights
children play under clear blue skies
