Harvest Moon – Tanka

Sharing Pat’s take on the prompt –

thoughts and entanglements

the smell of autumn
mingle with the chilly air
on this cloudy night
great big harvest moon peeks through
I gaze skyward in wonder

  1. That is the whole bliss.
That is the whole bliss far – far
    Sounds like a song
How it draws nearer to the wind, Let us keep still and contemplate and dream The golden dream of the cedar trees, Of battlements that tower into the air,
    From busy harvest days,
From the treetops, the forefathers rushing wisdom, and the disciples, who are listening pensively, from wreaths that line all the foreheads –
And close the eyelids and dream … and dream …
