souls drift in silence

eerie sounds assault the air

Dreams are illustrations… from the book your soul is writing about you. – Marsha Norman

Presenting the week’s prompt – You may use the word(s), phrase and/or image to interpret the prompt.

Due to my blog having some youthful followers, please and thank you for not submitting anything you wouldn’t want a 10 year old to peruse or see.

Weekly prompt – supernatural – (adjective) – of or relating to an order of existence beyond the visible observable universe especially relating to God or a god, demigod, spirit, or devil. Departing from what is usual or normal especially so as to appear to transcend the laws of nature. Attributed to an invisible agent (such as a ghost or spirit).

synonyms – metaphysical, otherworldly, paranormal, preternatural, transcendent, uneartly

once cold

and lifeless

revived with grace

hushed passion renewed

in silken beams of light

supernatural powers

sift through memoirs of yesteryear

erasing knowledge of broken hearts

dreams once wrought with fear resigned to splendor

  4. Eugenia,

I’d say the souls that shift in silence could be those doomed to an eternity of suffering and that’s why one might hear such eerie sounds in the night because they know they are damned and one day, will be cast into that lake of fire. As my mama always said, you better be prayed up before you meet your Maker! Cool word prompt and nice submission of yours, too. 🙂
