BrewNSpew Cafe – November 18, 2019

Hi Everyone! This will be the last BrewNSpew Cafe post with a weekly prompt until January 6, 2020. I feel it’s time to make some changes to BrewNSpew Cafe and I hope to continue working on my next book.

I will still continue to read, mingle and post on both BrewNSpew and PoetryPalette.

now the time has come

change, change, change is in the air

it is what it is

How sad would be November if we had no knowledge of the spring! ~Edwin Way Teale, Circle of the Seasons, 1953

Presenting the week’s prompt – You may use the word(s), phrase and/or image to interpret the prompt.

Because of my blog having some youthful readers, please and thank you for not submitting anything you wouldn’t want a ten year old to peruse or see.

Weekly prompt  fable – a fictitious narrative or statement: such as a legendary story of supernatural happenings; a narration intended to enforce a useful truth especially : one in which animals speak and act like human beings.

starry memories shine a lovely light

take heed and listen as the forest breathes

unknown legends live in enchanted trees

their whispered applause masquerades the night

*

tales of yesteryear send my mind aflight

I am always seeking my true spirit

as night turns to day and day turns to night

You’re at BrewNSpew Cafe, where friends meet

The Mush from the Hill

The therapeutic ramblings of a Welsh poet

Change is always good, I believe, and often hard to initiate. Good luck to you!

Thanks, V.J. I am a fan of change, to an extent. I feel like I’m in a rut with the BrewNSpew Cafe prompts. I enjoy participating in writing challenges and running weekly events but I want to implement new ideas. 🤔

Thank you, Sadje! Most likely, I will still post a weekly prompt but with a different look and format. I feel the way my prompt event is currently structured is bulky and time-consuming. 🤔

If you feel it’s time for an overhaul and makeover then you are the queen here. Will be eagerly waiting for the new look.

Change is a good thing. Reassessing what you’re doing is essential in good mental health.

Have a fabulous day and week. ♥

    i told a lie
    and here is why
    cos it is fun
    to make shit up
    but then again
    i told the truth
    to my son the youth
    and just like cassandra
    my warnings
    went unheeded
and i felt today to now
    unneeded!
