the air itself paused

sounds of sirens menacing

This really captures the aura of the moment. In fact, just moments before opening this, an ambulance drove through our quite neighbourhood – the “air ..,paused”. Well done!

Definitely a tense feeling…I hear them too often, as I’m on a state highway.

    Eugenia,

The air itself paused really grabbed me, almost sending a shiver down my spine. To feel as if the air pauses has to be an intense moment. Excellent job, my friend!

Reminds me of camping trips, hanging around the fire, and telling ghost stories. 🙂
