Bergknappen i vår hage står i full blomstring og- plutselig er hagen full av ‘neslesommerfugler’ – hvilket jo er hyggelig? Men så kan man undre seg: Hva er det med Bergknapp som gjør den så populær hos nettopp neslesommerfuglen?
Jeg tro nøkkelordet i denne forbindelse er ‘kamuflasje’? Hvis man studerer bergknapp i blomstring, så ser man at den har nøyaktig de samme fargene man finner igjen i neslesommerfuglens vinger?!
The stonecrops in our garden are in full bloom and – suddenly the garden is full of ‘tortoiseshell’ butterflies’ – which is nice?But then one can wonder: What is it about stonecrops (Sedum) that makes it so popular with the tortoiseshell butterflies?
I think the keyword in this regard is ‘camouflage’?If you study these stonecrops in their blossoming, you may notice that it has exactly the same colors you find in the tortoiseshell butterfly’s wings ?!
