talking the talk meaningless

let yourself be heard

  1. So often truth isn’t what folks want to hear. I know there are many organizations that are willing to accommodate those ‘sheep’.
    I have always spoken my mind and have gotten in trouble for that too – but I’ve always been a rebel. 😉

    1. Good for you for speaking your mind, Jules. I refer to those “sheep” as sheeple – those that unquestionably accept as true whatever their political leaders say without scrutiny.

      1. I’ve sort of started reading this murder mystery series set in Victorian times… and class differences, secrets, expectations… somewhat comical, sad and unfortunately telling of the false evolution of society.

  2. Perhaps it’s a good idea for some voices to stay muted but I know that’ll never happen. Freedom of speech isn’t the same as it once was, now the right are wrong and the wrong are right. It’s scary today to say what’s on your mind for fear something horrible might happen. That’s the society that we live in nowadays. Nice job as always with your poem, my dear.
