Eugi’s Weekly Prompt – Bouquet – Sept. 16, 2021

I thought I’d been wronged

placed a bouquet at her feet

crooned a woeful song

Us sing and dance, make faces and give flower bouquets, trying to be loved. You ever notice that trees do everything to git attention we do, except walk? – Alice Walker

  1. Eugi,
Love the moody haiku interpretation of the photo prompt. Great Alice Walker quote!

  2. Love that poem. Don’t you just love the word ‘crooned’, purrfectly descriptive of what it means.

  31. Flowers look nice,
They looked great on the table next to my own.
Wished there was a bunch to take home.
They did not belong to me,
    Yet I enjoyed them immensely.
Just one single bouquet for me to gaze on
Eventually did get it, but from a someone that was wrong!💐

Thank you for this prompt Eugenia!

  32. Eugenia, here is my offering for this week.. made a change from the words above…
To my fellow poets, missed you all! #hugs
