I remember it well
left the corporate world
my mind in a twirl
really, time to retire?
my relevance expired?
Ah, those were the days
but now
mind-slavery no more
I’ve closed that door
comfort zone – meh
I’m me, myself, and I
These are the days, my friend
I hope they never end

Today’s a great day to blog, and the Bloganuary prompt is:

Sounds like you made a very good choice
Yes it was a good choice, however, I didn’t know it at the time. I wanted to keep working because I liked my job.
Ah, retirement! Your mind is your own, your time is your own! Love this poem, Eugi!
Thank you, Cheryl!
A bliss to be your own boss.
Yes! Absolutely!
🤩👍🏼
I never liked working. The last job I had I liked and made good money but I still didn’t like having to go to work. Retirement is a wonderful thing!
There were days when I didn’t like working and a lot depended on the manager/boss/employer. My last three years were very pleasant. I love being retired!
A wonderful road, that of retirement! 😀
Yes, indeed! 😉
Isn’t it funny how we leave the comfort zone so that we can work to get back to it?
That said, our dreams and goals always lie beyond that comfort zone and the uncomfortable one becomes the most enjoyable.
What a delightful comment, Jude! You are very wise.
Thanks Eugi. I have much to learn though🙏🏾
We all do, Jude. We never stop learning. 😉
Oh I love this. Makes me envious 😁
Thank you, Deb!
