swing high in the sky serendipity awaits those who seek the truth
A Monoku is a type of poem which is made up of a single horizontal line.
Unlike the Haiku which is made up of three outlines with a total of seventeen syllables, Monoku features a single line consisting of seventeen syllables or even fewer.
It contains a pause brought about by speech rhythm with slight or no punctuation. The first letter should not be capitalized – but instead written in lower case.

Sort of a recap of an evening with an elder friend. Breaking the rules again and made a series…
five monoku (series)
her forgetter forgetting more took the swing from her step still she walks
mysterious brain failing memory others must make hard choices
she wants to remember her friends their kindness their support their respect
the truth is that friendship comes in rainbow colors when smiles light faces
patience is waiting for that single cloud for spring sky shade after rain

Wow! What a great monoku series, Jules. I love how you wove your story.
BoTS – have a way at tugging at heart strings.
Being in one’s mid 80’s can be a tough nut for some. So hard when you think you know what’s going on and really don’t. And familyy has to step in and take over for safetys sake.
A very unfortunate and sad situation, Jules.
Eugenia, your monoku is wonderful and impressive minimalistic poem. It has so much atmosphere and so many thoughts and emotions in only one line.
The atmospheric photo goes perfectly with it. Thank you for that!
Eugenia, I wish you all the best! 💕😊
