sun salted daydreams

frothy waves tease sandcastles

summer wakes at dawn

  1. Lovely

  2. Hurray for summertime!

  3. Lovely, Eugi!

  4. This day started with grey sky, little dribbles and then finally got up into the low 70’s.
And that is quite high enough for me 😉

    • Our temps are starting to get warmer in the afternoons. We’re seeing high 70s and low 80s. Our A/C went kaput last night. Thank goodness for apartment living. Let them fix it. Probably needs a shot of freon. 😉

  5. Lovely. Stunning image.

  6. Beautifully captured, Eugi! 🙂 A trip to the beach is long overdue!

  7. Beautiful, I just love your poem!

  8. Another colour theme change Eugenia. Have you found one that compels you yet?

    Beautiful imagery and wordsmithery too.

    • You wouldn’t believe it if I told you! I had everything set, colors, widgets, etc., however, when I set up a draft , it is all black and I can’t see what I am typing. So, I reset the theme to see if that will help. Interesting is that I use the same theme for both my .org and .com blogs and don’t have the issue in my .com blog. I will find another host come November.

      • Is this WP .org?

      • Yep! Blue Host was down for hours yesterday and there were many complaints. Concerning WP.org, there are other options besides Blue Host for self-hosted blogs. I’ll reevaluate it in Nov. when my Blue Host subscription expires.

      • Mm, that is very interesting considering what l wrote the other day on the EC blog concerning BH .

      • Yes, for sure. I looked into other hosting providers and it seems they all have their quirks.

      • Do you have a self hosted so that you can have fuller control on your themes Eugenia, or are there are benefits?

      • Moving to self-hosted for EC started out due to more themes. But now the same themes are available for WP.com (Pro) as WP.org.

WP.com was very restricted unless one had the Business plan and I couldn’t see paying $300. for a blog that doesn’t generate any income. But, Pro has about the same options as self-hosting, which is why I moved EB to Pro, plus I had a WP.com credit due me.

I may move EC back to WP.com Pro, once I determine which plan is more stable. Yesterday’s mess with Blue Host did not settle well with numerous bloggers (including business blogs). Some experienced hours downtime.

      • That’s not good, l just realised seeing you write Ec as you have done, we both have EC blogs haha 🙂

      • Do you mean the color combination?

      • No, the fact that initials of E and C are used to describe our blogs, l am Earthly Comforts so another EC 🙂

      • It’s a shame that no one else sees all the work you put into your visualisation on blog.

      • Thank you, Rory! There are few that get into a blog’s appearance but not many. It’s eye appeal, IMO. I probably change mine too frequently, but, the last 2 times were because of Blue Host and my theme. Funny how the same theme works well on my WP.com blog but tends to get wacky on my WP.org. blog.

      • It’s a strange old world Eugenia.
