Written in time

time forgotten captured

in-between yellowed pages

shelved weathered books pulsate

neath layers of magic dust

thoughts seduced into silence

come alive through the pen

moments in time stopped to

revel the unsaid

  1. Ooh this is nice Eugenia. Do you write and then read it aloud or do you read aloud and then write it down and you are writing it out for the first time of creation?

    • Hi, Rory. I don’t read my poems aloud either way. I mull words around in my mind and then create a draft. Depending on how I feel about the draft, I either tweak it or accept it as is. Either way, I always complete whatever I am writing and keep it as a draft until I am ready to publish. Many are written ahead of time depending on my mood. On days when I’m not writing to respond to a prompt, I enjoy writing poems, just because. I hope this makes sense. 😉

  2. I’ve been reading a series of mysteries that take place in the 1800’s – some of the paperbacks do indeed have yellow pages. But I am enjoying each one! 😀
