Tuesday Chatter 29

Wasn’t it just yesterday

We were waiting for May

It’s dwindling you know

with not much left to show

Chirping birds and buzzing bees

impatiently await summer’s warm breeze

They have claimed their haven among the trees

no longer naked and bereft of their leaves

Let’s not despair that May will be gone

soon we can delight in summer’s sweet song

A succession of melodies sets the tune

As we warmly welcome the month of June

Hi, everyone! I don’t mean to jump the gun but May is soon to be history. And with the end of May drawing near, there’s some partying going on. First, we have our lovely Jacqueline Obyikocha hosting her monthly blog bash Saturday/Sunday – May 28th and 29th. Here is the link with party details:  Anyone and everyone will be there so be sure to add the bash dates to your calendar.

The other bash is on beBee, Affinity. For those of you that are not familiar with, it is a welcoming multilingual site; combining personal and professional interests. And for those of us that like to write, beBee offers a publishing platform.  It is free to sign in so join the fun and become a bee. The link to the beBee “This is beBee’ After Dark’s Summer Blockbuster Party – Sun May 29 at 9 PM Eastern time is: There will definitely be dancing in the streets at this bash.

This week I am introducing a very interesting blogger, True George. He is a government bureaucrat for the City of New York; Retired National Guardsman and Veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom II; Trained in Mental Health Counseling and Psychology; wordsmith and master of all trades. His posts are well written and as interesting as he is. Be sure to check out his blog at

If you have a yen for food and love animals, you will truly enjoy my next featured blogger,  Suzanne. She states: “If you love to cook and love food the possibilities are endless”. Take a moment and visit Suzanne at apuginthekitchen.

For my Canadian friends, the Monday before May 25th is Victoria Day! This day is celebrated in honor of the birthdays of both Queen Victoria and the current monarch of Canada. There is a more detailed explanation about Victoria Day via website: So to our Canadian friends that live where the Victoria Day is mandated, enjoy your holiday.

Moving on to some cuteness, what do turtles use to communicate? A shellphone!  Aw, c’mon it’s a cute joke. Besides, today is Turtle Day, May 23, 2016. Why not take a turtle to lunch or give one a hug.  Our turtles deserve our protecting them and helping them thrive.

beBee and Me

I was sipping coffee when I wrote this little diddy. Perhaps a little giddy? Nope, not me!  It’s simple to see, I was just being me.

beBee and me

We were meant to be

I can cruise with ease

And mingle with bees

If I want to jive

I find a hive

I don’t feel judged

My reputation not smudged

Such a delightful mix

But with ease, I can say nix

Such a welcoming place

My new home base

I feel we can go far

My rising star

Cheers! 🍵 ☕️

Tuesday Chatter 20

Happy Spring! We have a lot going on in Tuesday Chatter this week. Maybe I will take a thermos of coffee out to the porch and put together some thought provoking chatter. It’s 54º, which is perfect for me. My brew is going to be clear as mud, as I need a real kicker to get myself in gear.

Let’s get started with a chat about this past week’s highlights. Yesterday, March 1, was the first day of spring. Hallelujah!! I am so sorry that some parts of the world are not yet experiencing springy weather. Those of you that are suffering may want to have a discussion with mother nature about her attitude.

March 19th and 20th was Jackie’s Brunch Party. She sure knows how to throw a shindig, and everyone that was anyone was there. What a bash! And what a great way to meet and mingle! The party is over but you may want to stop by and see if there are any leftovers or just say hello.

St. Patrick’s Day has come and gone. You may want to visit my blog celebrating this special day, which includes a few pics of a quaint mountain town St. Patrick’s Day parade.

There is still time for the March babies to be included in my Happy Birthday wishes. Just let me know and I will add you to the list.

Hey, if you’re in the mood for a cold brew 🍺, stop by the Irish pub and enjoy a frosty one. I took are some interesting pics of this eclectic Irish pub, and added a bit of chatter about its charm.

So, what else is going on? Wow, I almost forgot!! I am taking another WordPress course – Commenters Bootcamp. I love these courses, as you learn so much and what a great way to meet people! Since I am a regular commenter on LinkedIn, I want to improve my commenting skills. I have included a link to my LinkedIn post about commenting:

Hey, let’s watch what we say

If you’re going to comment

Make it a compliment

 Oh, I see

It’s okay to disagree

but, please be kind

Because you will find

opinions vary

so best be weary

I respect what you say

even if it means,

keeping feelings at bay

I expect the same

So no one’s to blame

And, I promise the last tidbit about me, myself and me – I joined another social networking site known as beBee. I found many of my LinkedIn friends are migrating to beBee, which is another platform for bloggers, writers, and lots of other stuff. I am in the early stages of navigating my way around, and so far I find it quite amusing.

This brings me to my weekly featured bloggers, which I just pick at random. It gives everyone a chance to meet and mingle. Let me introduce Maddy at Home. Maddy shares useful and cool tidbits about anything and everything. I love her beach combing lead in idea, which you can experience this yourself by visiting her site. You can find Maddy at

My next featured blogger is Peter has titled his blog Meritings, which his work definitely deserves merit. His blog revolves around music, nostalgia, philosophy and wildlife. This blog is a lovely experience that you won’t want to miss.
